What is the architectural style of the building?

The Burj Khalifa is absolutely unique when it comes to design, length, and style. Dubbed the “Vertical City” and “A Living Wonder”, the Burj Khalifa reaches a height of 828 meters. Of the more than 200 storeys there are 160 floors with residential units, which cover 170,000 square metres of residential space, the largest amount on the globe. The Burj Khalifa was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), which also designed the One World Trade Center in New York City.

Connected to the Burj Khalifa is The Offices, a 12-storey building comprising office space. There is also the Club, a four-storey health and wellness complex where you can find anything to relax the body and mind. One of the most popular attractions of the Burj Khalifa is the outdoor observation deck, called “At the Top”. The deck was opened on 5 January 2010 and is located on the 124th floor. When it opened it was the highest observation deck in the word at 452 m (1,483 ft). The Burj Khalifa park is another attraction that is well-known. The inspiration for the park, and the Burj Khalifa, came from the Hymenocallis, a desert plant. The park covers 11 hectares and has a water room with water-jet fountains and swimming pools in the center. Furthermore, there are 30.000 homes, 9 hotels, an abundance of retail, and the Dubai Mall.
